Victim [from Latin victima] - Originally denoted a person or animal killed as a sacrifice.
Life on planet Earth leads to experiencing victimization at some point for virtually everyone to some degree. True victimization is usually easily identified, yet the line between victim and oppressor can actually be quite fuzzy. Like any other yin/yang polarity, the human psyche contains both simultaneously, and even those who identify fully with the oppressor polarity are seeking out victims in order to complete themselves. Seeing the self as a victim often leads to becoming an unjust oppressor, just as seeing the self as an oppressor often leads to being victimized, and rarely is it a fully conscious move.
Self identified victims can easily lose all objectivity and, just like their oppressors, perceive themselves as completely in the right, even when the truth is not so black and white. The "victim" feels justified, and revenge is often a slippery slope into oppression (although revenge properly executed is not always unhealthy). They are looking to be offended in order to justify their underlying feelings of injustice and often cannot tell the difference between real offence and their own egoic defensiveness.

~"Don Juan" in Castaneda’s “The Fire From Within”The "poor me" mentality and identification with being a victim is what I am refering to here. Getting beyond the polarity of victim/oppressor often requires seeing how one victimizes oneself beyond what is objectively "done to them" by others. So the term "victim consciousness" should be differentiated from actual victimization for sematic purposes here. It's my hope that victims of violence, stalking, and other obvious injusticies won't take offense to what I am really trying to convey. No one here is blaming the victimized for "attracting it", and the author certainly has been victimized (and injured) in extreme enough ways to empathize with anyone who is feeling disempowered by external forces. "Victim consciousness" often results from such traumas, and it's the viscious cycle of perception that errupts that is the SHADOW ISSUE, and creates a state of mind that expects to be victimized over and over again. That this type of shadow leads to dreams unfulfilled, love unrequited, and suppression of the life force should be obvious to any observer. In some people (perhaps with less access to spirit or emotional energies) the shadow issues resulting from victimization turns them into perps.
The biggest perps out there (yes, even the banksters and the gross psychopath elite) are ultimately coming from victim consciousness. They oppress others in order to come out on top and avoid ever being a victim, all the while they are victims (of their own egos!), and they continue to oppress in order to deny that fact. Meanwhile in the general public, self identified "victims" out there are often not-so-subtle oppressors when it comes down to it…usually of themselves, their children, their communities, and their environment/ mother nature. This opens them up to being victimized by the elite in the long run, for the more extreme parasitic/ predatory types out there are simply looking for the weaknesses in others to exploit (and deny their weakness of soul).
It’s a fact that when a victim asks “why” of their oppressor, if the response is honest the bottom line answer from the oppressor will invariably be “because I can”. Most acts of victimization are about energy going to the oppressor/ perp and the perp having the opportunity in the first place. This is true of everything from robbery to rape, and in less extremes it plays out in daily finances, jobs and social relationships. More than a few of the perps out there have been heavily victimized and are craving the power they lost. Victims who take no responsibility for their lives are just asking to be exploited and rarely stand up for themselves either during or after the oppression. In this way humanity as a whole eats its own tail.

The financial system is obviously a huge part of the perpetuation of this insanity, as well as class systems which in some nations are utterly inhumane and rigged. It's totally understandable that there are entire populations who are deeply entrenched in victimhood and therefore mesmerized by victim consciousness to extremes (that often lead to violent conflicts). Many of these people never had even a remote chance for a better life from the day they were born, yet something got them to this point as a collective and often the manipulation can be traced to the same families and cabals that are still taking advantage of the poor to this day.

The Banksters/elite/"Killuminai" goons are coming from a place of LACK or they never would have to take take take so much from the people in the first place.

Just as no one is fully yin or fully yang, no one is fully a victim or oppressor. And I will admit that babies born into victimization seem to be the exception, however I think it’s premature to assume so considering reincarnation may be a factor, in which case it’s once again a matter of personal responsibility as to how and why an individuation “got there” in the first place. What is the spiritual point of being born into a system where you will never get anything but starvation and misery? This is part of the greater mystery of who we all are and why each of us is experiencing our lives a certain way - and there is no simple answer, but either way it would seem the universe has checks and balances and consequences (and likely there is truth in the concept of “Karma” even though the purity of that truth has surely been skewed to suit egoic agendas, and may also be manipulated unnaturally by mechanisms in the artificial matrix).
It’s when self observation comes into play that the ability to truly be responsible for the self and the contents of ones mind and emotions becomes possible. This takes the wind out of the perpetrator’s sails. No one can make you feel or respond in any mechanical way at the soul level, they can't own you if you get beyond your body and mind and into your true Self. It also negates any of the “blame the victim” attitude that is so prevalent and insidious amongst those crafty oppressors who have a talent for getting people to victimize themselves. Going within to this extent can also lead to attracting TRUE HELP instead of the type of rescue that only creates more dependance (give a man a fish or teach him to fish!).
A person with true self observation skills (& self love) isn’t going to be so stuck in ego, and they will be much more honest about where their true responsibilities (and triggers) lie, as well as having honesty about the extent to which they really are being victimized externally. Even if the external oppression is ongoing they will still create. They will not beat themselves up but instead make the corrections and learn the lessons, transmuting them into wisdom and moving forward in whatever capacity possible. When victimized, this type of person will do their best to take “right action” to remedy the situation and if needed, give the oppressor a good mirror (which in rare circumstances does mean killing them to defend your LIFE, however in extremely victimizing situations people often don't get the chance to deal with their perps directly at all). They will also be able to accept and move through grief and death, realizing that the body is temporary but the soul endures.
It’s ok to observe the self go back into states of victim consciousness, anger, self pity. If a person is in a very bad situation, these emotions are NATURAL and should not be judged, however they are not the "identity" of that individual. Many people identify with their victimization to the point that it dominates their whole life and personality. True freedom, regardless of circumstances, means identifying with the observer (soul) rather than the contents of ones mind or the condition of ones body (a huge challenge for sure).
The observer doesn’t censor, but in the act of true self observation (no matter what) the soul transmutes. Sometimes when we get victimized it scars, but like Henry Rollins said, “Scar tissue is stronger than regular tissue. Realize the strength, move on.” It can take years (or even a whole lifetime) to move through the emotions and deal with the scars caused by one incident of victimization, yet it’s what must be transmuted in order for LIFE to continue and more importantly the soul to evolve and grow. Often it's these great challenges that teach us the most in the long run.

When we come out of victim consciousness we attract less oppression and create less victimization for ourselves. Perhaps there are even humans who have been totally freed from this paradigm. In one of Castaneda’s books (forget which) there is a well known quote in which he asks "Don Juan" what he would do if someone was going to shoot him with a gun and Don Juan answers, “I wouldn’t be there”. It’s the avoidance of victimizing situations that is the gift of wisdom.
In conclusion, it’s obvious that much of what passes for victimhood out there has a heavy element of self sabotage and limiting type of thinking involved. Humans victimize themselves far more than plants and animals ever would (look at the foods and chemicals people take in voluntarily that destroy DNA!). People act against their own interests in the name of mechanical reactions and egoic notions about who they are on a regular basis. Compare an overweight lady in America feeling sorry for herself about her body image with a starving person in Africa who was born with nothing and the whole victim consciousness issue starts to take on perspective. There is real victimization and then there is the “victim in their own mind”. In self observation/ self-love one begins to unravel the difference between the two and act accordingly.
The “victim triangle” is a well illustrated, excellent tool, especially for those who constantly go around looking to rescue victims only to end up reaffirming the victim consciousness even more so. It's also insightful for those of us who strive to come out of victim consciousness only to find that we become "starting gate prosecutors" and loose much energy "fighting the good fight". ADDENDUM
It's the tendency for a human to make aliens and otherwordly beings into oppressors or rescuers, and when the people who want to be rescued by them realize that will not be the case even they often get victimy about it. The truth is extraterrestrials and beings with greater dimensional perspective can only help those who help themselves, and only when many other factors allign. All others who offer "help" are taking advantage of the human victim consciousness and have ulterior motives, especially if they want to be worshipped or steal energy. Humanity must grow up and find personal responsibility, and any utopian system without that is simply enslavement in disguise.

The issue of victim consciousness is unavoidable when dealing with anything regarding mind control, aliens, or occult subjects in general. There is also the factor that many if not all of these "Greys" have themselves been victimized in their own experiences, and much of their oppression is based in victim consciousness too.
Think for instance of the “anal probe” meme. Ok, whether or not it was Greys who really perpetrated that act matters little if it’s the first thing people think of when they think of Grey aliens (and it often is!). Fears, both legit and irrational, abound when dealing with these subjects. The fact that humanity as a whole is being (seemingly) oppressed by outsiders is a huge issue that influences the psyche of all of us whether we admit it or not. Something in the human mind knowns the matrix that we live in just "isn't right". How else could a human being like Dick Cheney go so "Borg" as to have a mechanical heart? Why else would I place someone who everyone perceives as one of the biggest oppressors out there at the top of my list of victims!!
